Virginia Creeper Trail: Located Between Abingdon and Damascus, 276-676-2282, One of the most beautiful trails on the continent, this 34 mile scenic railroad bed began as a Native American footpath and was converted into a recreational facility for hikers, bikers, joggers, nature walkers, cross country skiers, and equestrian riders.

Located 7 Miles from Downtown, 423-878-2011, These caverns feature many
unusual formations on many different levels which were formed due to an
underground river. These caverns were used by the native Indians as an attack
and escape route. Visitors are invited to tour and enjoy a picnic on the
grounds.
Morgan-McClure Motorsports Museum: 26460 Newbanks Road, Abingdon, VA 24210, Located Adjacent to the Main Racing Facility, The Morgan-McClure Motorsports Race Team from the early years to the present is featured at this racing museum where visitors can see cars that roared into victory lane to win three Daytona 500s in the 1990s and also view wrecked editions from Talladega, Alabama, and Motegi, Japan. Other exhibits include a pictorial history of past drivers, past and present uniform displays, and a pit equipment display.
